Meridian Mardi Gras is a long held event sponsored for years by the Meridian Downtown Association which merged into Meridian Main Street several years. ago.  It has grown and expanded over the years and has been a project of Meridian Main Street for over five years.  It has been expanded to include: Live Music -The Queen City Jam; Annual Gumbo Cook-off; King Cake Sale; east Mississippi/west Alabama’s largest Mardi Gras Store; Krewe of Barkus Pet Parade; Krewe of Midas Parade and related festivities.
